Ladies Night at Clay Art Center

Posted by editor on 02/27/18

Port Chester is home to some of the best bars and restaurants in West Chester, but if you’re looking for something creative to do on a Friday night try Clay Center’s one-time class for adults, Cladies Night. The Clay Center was the 2017 Best of Westchester winner for Best Artsy Night Out and it’s BYOB so you can sip while you sculpt.  Sounds relaxing to us and it’s under a 15-minute walk from your apartment!

This is also a wonderful way to test out the wheel to see if pottery is a hobby that may interest you.  The Clay Art Center has beginners and beyond wheel classes which last three months and teaches you the basics of how to use the potter’s wheel for functional pots.  You’ll come home with beautiful pieces which can be put on display in your Castle apartment!

Clay Art Center prides themselves on being a place that allows you to create, connect and be inspired. It is a nationally recognized non-profit center for the advancement and practice of the ceramic arts right here in Port Chester.  They were founded in 1957 by Katherine Choy and Henry Okamoto, and today, after over a half century of growth and expansion, they’re still proud to serve the arts community with studio space, exhibition opportunities, engage the public and foster new artists through classes for children and adults of all levels.
